Morning thoughts

Sometimes
when you walk through the woods
in the early morning
it helps to stop
sit
and listen
to bird song and forest breath
in order to see beauty like

the skeletal lace
of fallen leaves

softly quilting the path

So very true - have done this at the watershed park in delta - it is true at any time of the day - if one is quiet an still enough.

By the way, your sermon was right on - it is ,I believe very important in live to speak from the heart !

Thank you, Larry. Moments of pause refresh us for the times of stepping into the fray. Many blessings to you.

What a lovely poem ,and how observant to see the lace of the skeliital leafl have been whatching the dawn for the last few mornings and remembering and learning from a friend who died recently and who was a shamon. l used to attend her drumming sessions. there was a service of celebration of her life in the native indian tradition held in a lovely leafy grove in Maple ridge where she had lived for a long time. She had had a hard life sent to residencial schoo where she was abused by the nuns . at some point in her life she was on the streets but she managed to overcome that whilst still carring the scars. and was very talentd. she had a lovely voice and made a c.d. which i have and also wrote many poems which were uses in the celebration of her life. thank-you Kimiko thinking of you

Nothing like bird song to erase the traffic noise - inside and out.

I love how taking a moment to observe nature can reveal such intricate details.
