Mother God Poems and Prayers

Beyond the Surface of Mothering
Scriptural mothers

Mother God you draw us back
Even when we stray
Celebrating our return
Rejoicing the new day

Much like babies need their milk
we require Her
Much like coins that once were lost
She draws us together

We know that she will ever leave
Though the times goes b
When we trust in Mother God
We shall never die

Christine, Ashley, Elizabeth

God is accepting
love
& spirit
God is kindness
God is caring
comforting
God is mysterious
God loves & ares for all
creatures & people
God joins us together
for God heals
loves & protects the marginalized, wounded & suffering
the desperate & impoverished & the privileged

She Is All!

Marilyn, Pam, Penny

Open our hearts, O blessed Mother
Teach us to open our hearts, and to look into our hearts

I am reminded of your presence
Learning from others, reaching out to others, we find your presence
while giving to others in the Circle of Love.

A bird sings at dawn
A cat has stolen her young
Still, the mother sings

Loving Mother God

Looking in the mirror we see your reflection
Fiere mother. Nurturer, lover.
You desire to nurse us with your words
Protect us & sustain us with your truths
May we always remember that we hold your spirit within us,
And embrace your children everywhere
