Resilience: the capacity to manage through life's obstacles and challenges, and even to thrive.
You've heard the saying the we are spiritual beings having a human experience.
We are. And, we are also energy beings in physical bodies. Our bodies are energy. We have fields of energy around us. Emotions and even thoughts carry energy. That's why sometimes someone elses' mood will impact our own.
When our energies are flowing smoothly, all is well. And when all is well, our energies tend to flow well. But stress, injuries, emotional wounds and anxieties can all impact the energy flow. Blocked energy can create pain and more anxiety.
Everyone has the capacity to work with energy to help in our own and other's healing. We can learn to tap into Universal or Divine energy and use it to heal. We can learn to be more connected to Universal energy, more grounded, more centred. That's what meditation, centering prayer and mindful breathing do.
All of this helps both in healing what already needs to heal in our bodies and helps keep us healthy, like exercise keeps us healthy. This creates an energy of resilience.
Wellness. Balance. Harmony.
Wellness. Balance. Harmony between the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self. This is health.
As an energy healing practitioner, I help you attain this balance by supporting you to activate your body's natural healing energies.
I have been a practitioner for more than ten years. Formal study in Healing Pathway, Quantum Touch and with many mentors has built on the innate capacity that I sensed in my childhood and youth.
I work with groups and offer personal sessions as well as workshops.
"I understand my call to healing as broader than hands-on work. It is to share stories of hope. It is to create places that are welcoming and to lift up beauty. It is to be a healing presence." Kimiko
Although the grandfather I knew, Grandpa Kabayama, was also the Reverend Jun Kabayama, a minister in the United Church of Canada, he grew up in the vestiges of the feudal system in Japan. He was raised a samurai.
Seiki as a healing art was practiced by the samurai and was largely a hidden art. Years after I found myself called into healing ministries I learned this connection.
For those looking for a deeper exploration on a journey to healing ministry. (will open as a pdf)
"From earliest times, the therapeutic power of touch has been recognized and has been raised to a sacramental significance in both the religious sphere and beyond it. Medicine men, shamans, healers from every culture and part of the globe have used--and continue to use--sacred touch as the medium of blessing (and) restoring health." Tom Harpur
